Introduction_2

He had blue, disturbing eyes. They looked as if they were wrapped in flames. He was good looking for his race, and looked about twenty or twenty two years old. The long awaited sign showed him that he was standing in the corner of the Sonora street. He looked around him, decided there was no one following him, with a wild happiness in his eyes. You could see the street he was on was the one he was looking for, it was too obvious. He started running again, this time a little bit slower. He did not know which dangers lied ahead of him, and it was wise to be careful. Finally, he stopped running. He'd got where he intended to go at last. At first sight, the place was not pretty. The gates were open. You could only wonder for who, for in this days it was mostly suicidal to leave your house gates open. He crossed the small garden, and went to the front door. It was also slightly open. He opened the door completely, and, hesitating a bit, went through the corridor. A blue light was emerging from the shadows ahead, with a faint sound of electronic equipment, heavily used. Our guy looked extremely pleased with himself at this point. A faint sound began to grab his attention. It was getting louder now, and he could not place it, because it had been a long time since he last heard it. Laughter. He felt the urge to stop. The sound was coming from behind him, so he turned, and looked around. It was coming from a room which he had passed, thinking there was no one in there. It'd been dark, but now, it was full-lit. He peered through the threshold, and the vision shocked him. No one and nothing could have prepared him to sustain the..the something that he was seeing. In his world-shaped senses, it made no sense. No sense at all.
